The last mutation
The Last Mutation is a 1–4 player PvP tabletop/board game that combines horror, strategy, positioning, fusion mechanics, resource management, and, of course, chaos — all into one game.The game is planned to release with 110 unique cards, with expansions already in the works. The cards are divided into four different types: Monsters, Spells, Turrets, and Abominations.
all art and concepts for the game is 100% man-made no ai will be used---THE BATTLEFIELDEvery game takes place across a unique battlefield that changes depending on how many players are in the game.Each player gets their own personal battlefield, while a center battlefield separates the players.But you're not stuck on your own side.Portals connect the battlefields, allowing monsters to move between them and giving you the opportunity to invade your opponents' territory or defend your own.Where you position your creatures matters. Sometimes getting across the battlefield can be just as important as attacking.---THE CARDSSo how do you actually get all these horrifying creatures, turrets, and spells?You don't need to buy separate card packs, and you don't need to spend hours building a deck.When you get the game, the cards are ready to play.The Monsters, Turrets, and Spells are shuffled together into one central deck. At the beginning of each round, players draw cards from the deck and use what they get to try to defeat their opponents.That means you never know exactly what you're going to get.You might draw something that completely changes your strategy.Or you might get something you weren't expecting at all.That's where the chaos comes in.---TOXIC SLUDGEOf course, you can't just summon everything for free.That's where Toxic Sludge comes in.Toxic Sludge is the game's main resource and is distributed to players at the beginning of each round.You'll use it to summon Monsters, deploy Turrets, and cast Spells.But there's only so much to go around.Do you spend your sludge now to build up your defenses?Save it for something bigger?Or risk spending everything to make one devastating play?Manage your sludge wisely.---THE ABOMINATIONSAnd then there are the Abominations.These are some of the most terrifying creatures in the game and they're not found in the central deck.Instead, Abominations must be created on the battlefield.To summon one, you'll need to control the correct combination of Monsters and bring them together to create their matching Abomination.Once you've got the right creatures in place, fuse them together and unleash something far worse.Every Abomination has its own unique mechanic, making them some of the biggest game-changing plays in The Last Mutation.But getting one won't be easy.You'll have to survive long enough to create it and your opponents aren't going to just sit there and let you do it.---NO DECK BUILDING. A LITTLE ABOUT MEHi! First of all, thank you for visiting my website. I really appreciate it.My name is Butter Bonilla, and I'm the founder of ButterBrainGames LLC.Ever since I was younger, I've dreamed about becoming a game developer.I remember spending late nights during the summertime pulling all-nighters with my younger brother, Jelly (who, by the way, has his own character in The Last Mutation) playing video games until the sun came up.I also remember going to my grandma's house, where my whole family would get together, play board games, and eat good food.And then there's my girlfriend, Vanessa, who I actually met online while playing video games. She also has her own character in The Last Mutation as well as helped come up with some of the monsters in the game.So, when I really think about it, a lot of good things in my life have come from games.I've always loved playing them, but I've also always loved making them.Even when I was younger, my cousins and I would play games that I came up with. We'd play outside, inside, rain or shine, I was always coming up with something for us to play.It's been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember, and now I'm finally trying to turn that passion into something real with ButterBrainGames.Hopefully, the games I create can bring you some of the same fun, memories, and excitement that games have brought me throughout my life.
